I've been looking for a review like this for too long!
I haven't read the book as I found I would just cringe at any sex scene in the book and after reading your review you've just confirmed that I'm way to childish for a book like this! I would just giggle and cringe and be like 'oh god no'

I still feel like I'm missing out not reading them but I just couldn't face it! :)

Http://throughchelseaseyes.com/ xxxxThe Dash Diaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08479203628100605389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6072557867007703835.post-65884820354619878422012-07-04T20:39:35.019+01:002012-07-04T20:39:35.019+01:00OMG I totally agree with everything you have to sa...OMG I totally agree with everything you have to say about this book! I too got drawn into it, and I hate Mr grey! If he was anywhere near me I would slap him in the face and tell him to suck it up and get a grip! How can women be in love with a man so controlling is beyond me!

Thanks for sharing your opinion :D xxxAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06588717614389275533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6072557867007703835.post-73021877278242273912012-07-04T20:27:56.230+01:002012-07-04T20:27:56.230+01:00Wow totally agree, the sex is bland! haha! The English is poor, and extremely repetitive, and the fact that everyone 'murmurs' or 'whispers' makes me wonder how they hear each other speak at all?

I think the only thing that has encouraged me to read on is to see how saucy things get in the 'Red Room of Pain' and whether Christian will actually commit to Ana in a 'normal' relationship, as his feelings are clearly there for her.

I don't like how quickly the storyline developed or how we know very little about Ana's past before the story began, but I haven't finished yet so I will read on and see what I think at the end!

I don't think I'll be reading any of the sequels however!

Marie xMarie Loveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10623758761205531142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6072557867007703835.post-90006280181743394002012-07-04T14:51:55.488+01:002012-07-04T14:51:55.488+01:00I can agree with you about certain things, eg &quo...I can agree with you about certain things, eg "my sex" and she also mentions the word "reverie" so many times its annoying. But, I think it depends on your opinion of sex, and your experience with sex. The scenes aren't anything THAT out of the ordinary in comparison to what the book suggests COULD happen, but you have to understand this character has lost her virginity to this man, something that keeps a place in MOST womens hearts forever.

When it comes down to how "well" it's written I am not expert enough to comment, but what I do find is that it's written in a way that makes it - to me - sound like your being told a story, so I don't have a problem with it. I do however, have a problem with her use of ambiguous words that I have to look up to find the definition of. She then uses the same word for that description over and over. These are things that should've been picked up by an editor etc before it was published, but then I have read somewhere that it was self-published, so I don't know for sure.

I'm half way through the second book, and there is a lot more storyline and depth to it than the first. Personally, I can't put them down and I would recommend them to others.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15583688378333087858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6072557867007703835.post-86432046721634477972012-07-04T00:02:27.053+01:002012-07-04T00:02:27.053+01:00What a fantastic review! :) I love how honest it i...What a fantastic review! :) I love how honest it is, I've heard a couple of people say similar things about how awful it's written so I don't think I'll be buying this anytime soon! haha xGillianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15084359674268628569noreply@blogger.com
