Smashbox Brow Tech Trio

Smashbox Brow Tech Trio £17.50 Boots (Brow Tech Wax £14

I like my brows dark and full and I often wonder how I lived a life wearing make-up before I really took the time to tame and fill in the hair above my eyes. The most basic of my make-up routines still involves a little brow filling and this small smashbox brow tech trio is my most recent and favourite brow product. It doesn't contain the little extra brushes and tweezers like the much loved Benefit Browzing but it does contain everything you need in the smallest cutest little pot. Personally I love my mini tweezermans and my real techniques brow brush so for me this trio has everything I need. By containing a lighter and darker shade you can go as defined and strong as you want in the day. I prefer the lighter shade just to fill in my brows for work but the darker for more definition and shape on a night out. The tech wax included is also amazing it's not clumpy and completely colour free matte finish making a quick sweep after filling in effortless and with your brows in tact all day long.

The only down side of this product is that the wax gets used up so much quicker than the brow powders. I've had it a month or so now and I'm nearly all out of wax. You can pick up a pot of the wax alone for a cheaper £14 (link above) which I wish I'd done to keep the wax in this pot full for when I take it out and about. Other than that though I don't really have any complaints I love the small size as it doesn't contain any unnecessary shades just the two I need.

July Non-Beauty Favourites

July seems to have whizzed past amongst beautiful weather and my birthday I haven't really had much time to sit down and sort my online life out. I've been loving the new Jay Z album Magna Carta this month literally haven't stopped playing it - especially love 'on the run' feat Beyonce often have it on repeat for ages without even realising it's the only song I've been listening to for an hour. My iPhone 5 is also a firm July favourite glad I took the option of upgrading the 4 I had as after 3 years it had gotten pretty slow and I also really wanted a white one haha. I bought a cheap case for it on eBay but want something a little prettier so keeping an eye out at the moment.

Even though it's currently raining buckets the summer sun over the last month has made drinking stupid amounts of Pimms really acceptable. I love the new blackberry and elderflower flavour they've bought out filled with frozen berries, ice and diet lemonade it tastes so good. I'm also loving home made iced coffee it's the perfect wake up in the summer sun. As I'm trying to cut down on treats of the food variety bunches of Peonies are my current favourite in the weekly shop. This photo doesn't do them justice as they haven't opened yet but they are just gorgeous and my all time favourite flower. Finally Pinterest has come back in my life with massive vengeance this month - adoring spending endless hours looking at bunting, other people's weddings and stationary. Especially loving the Nouvelle Daily pin boards at the moment I could repin every single thing they post.

Palmers Gradual Tanning Moisturizer

Palmers Gradual Tanning Moisturizer - £5.35 Boots  Superdrug

I'm a little bit of a fake tan obsessive (St. Moritz is my favourite) I don't tan too easily naturally but I do prefer to have an all year glow. I'll be the first to admit I have taken the tan obsession a little to far in the past and hit perma orange status. I've always wanted to find a gradual tan I love to make sure this obviously never happens and to avoid needing to scrub off my tan down to my skin so applying the next layer will be even and golden.

I've tried a few gradual tans throughout the years but they've always been a little too gradual for my liking. I don't moisturise my entire body ever single day so adding this in was never going to be suitable. I'm also someone who likes things to show quickly and this is why the Palmers gradual tanning moisturiser has found it's way into my life. I adore cocoa butter and when I do get round to a full on moisturising session it is always with cocoa butter so this tanning moisturiser instantly appealed.

This stuff is gradual but just one layer is actually enough. It has all the loveliness of cocoa butter but packed with tan. It leaves a very golden glow to my pale skin but could be built up to achieve a decent tan on a range of skin tones. Because of the cocoa butter the biscuit smell isn't as overpowering as other gradual tanners I've tried. It's still there if you have a nose that's sensitive to it but it isn't awful like many of it's competitors. One of my favourite things about this product is its pump - it makes it so so easy. I do still wear a sexy pair of latex gloves to apply this as find as it's so strong it does sometimes get between my fingers and cause a few unsightly dark marks.

I'm not completely won over to gradual tanners because I simply like a quick tanning fix but this is perfect for a top up or to put on as you're getting ready and you don't have the whole 8 hours to develop a proper tan. I love Palmers and this product is one that's staying firmly in my tanning collection.

July - where have you gone?

Left to right top to bottom: massive veg haul from our patch, my favourite lollies, the tickets came :), getting crafty again, Pooja, my favourite flowers, new Pimm's, massive lanterns, a paddling pool that's also a whale, will someone have a baby so I can use this ribbon?, girls night.

I finally have some spare time to sit down on Blogger and I can't believe an entire 15 days has passed since I last did this - I'm officially rubbish. My birthday is next week though and I need to get the THCF calendar ready for print for our big calendar party in September so I'm not making any promises that this will be the time for me to get back in the blogging game but I will sure do my best. I so wish I could get on better with the blogger app it would be so much easier when out and about and sat in the beautiful sunshine.

MUA Pro Conceal and Brighten Kit - Golden Beige

I picked this up because it was super bargainous and thought it would fit perfectly in my handbag for quick top-ups when I'm out and about. However after using it for a few weeks it's become my go to work day face kit. It's the perfect all in one and easily knocks off 5 minutes of my morning make-up routine by all neatly sitting in the same compact little pot.

The MUA Pro Conceal and Brighten Kit contains three different gems. A lighter concealer for under eyes, a dark one for blemishes and imperfections and finally a highlighting cream for a bit of a glow. These are super creamy and felt a little too oily on first touch but after dabbing them on the face they give the loveliest most natural finish. I use the darker concealer for a slight contour and then use the highlighting cream under my eyebrows and also on the tops of my cheekbones. The lighter concealer gives really good coverage and is the perfect shade for my skin tone.

I'm super impressed with this little kit and it's made me want to try more MUA face products as for the price you really can't go wrong.
