July - where have you gone?

I finally have some spare time to sit down on Blogger and I can't believe an entire 15 days has passed since I last did this - I'm officially rubbish. My birthday is next week though and I need to get the THCF calendar ready for print for our big calendar party in September so I'm not making any promises that this will be the time for me to get back in the blogging game but I will sure do my best. I so wish I could get on better with the blogger app it would be so much easier when out and about and sat in the beautiful sunshine.

Where are you?

I've been a little MIA from Magpie Obsessions this month - only posting 6 times so far this month is so unlike me and I thought it was about time to do a little catch up post and get back in the flow. Since giving up beauty buying for lent I've kind of lost the blogging bug and haven't really wanted to blog all that much at all. It occurred to me recently that when I started this it kind of evolved into being about beauty but that was never my first intention. I've made a vow that from now on this will just by my space where I'll write about anything that interests me and most of the time that isn't beauty at all it's making things, sewing things and cooking things. Giving up beauty buys for lent has been the best thing I've ever done even though I still spend a lot of time trawling feel unique it's kind of liberating to not jump on the back of every bandwagon and start using a lot of products that have been neglected. I imagine that come 30th March I'll be hitting Boots and stocking up on some much needed essentials but before then I'm going to be hitting up the haberdashery section of John Lewis and remembering exactly who I am.

I thought it was time to do a life catch up post for a few reasons - one life is about to get ever so Christmassy and I needed to tie up some instagram love before it gets out of hand. Two I have some exciting news - I put the money down for my first little rented house with a boy on Friday. Aaaa as you can see I'm already buying things like spice jars haha and there will be lots more home related stuff to come - we don't move in until the end of December but I can not wait and am just so excited to start this chapter!

I feel like this post is way overdue - it seems like forever ago since I've actually written something non beauty related which is silly because beauty products actually only take up a very small part of my day to day life. I've done a mass instagram upload above (@georginacallen if you would like to follow) and also included some of my graduation pictures. Time seems to be going way to fast and so much seems to be happening in such a short time. 

Graduation felt very surreal as dissertation hand in was a good 5 months ago and it is very strange to look at these pictures that mark the end to a 4 year chapter in my life. The second big thing to happen over the last few weeks is that the Charity Commission officially registered The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation. We've been working to get this registration for months so actually having it was a massive achievement and all of team #THCF are crazy excited for our 2013 fundraising plans. The THCF website also got a bit of make-over so please do check it out we'll also be updating our blog regularly now with upcoming events and achievements so there's lots going on there. 

I'm also a little consumed looking for a house to move out of my parents house early next year and live with a boy. Looking at cute furniture and kitchen accessories is filling up way too much of my time. That is pretty much my life at the moment! Charity, house hunting and graduating has been my last few months as well as quite a lot of zinfandel celebrating all of those things :)

Instagram Life Update 1st Week of June.

I feel like my recent instagram posts have been quite hideously over crowded so I'm going to try and start doing them more often - beginning right now. I've had a lovely week it started off with my boyfriends best friend getting married in a very fancy hotel followed by a lovely jubilee weekend full of BBQ's and Cidre. The other three days of the week seem to have flown by - with all my friends and family at work I've been busy sorting out the website for The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation and searching for a job now I've finished university. 

I'm actually off on holiday again on Wednesday with my boyfriend for a week in Cyprus, I'm very lucky to have been bought this one as an early birthday/ finishing university present. I really can't wait I don't particularly need a break like last time but this English rain has left me lusting for some sunshine again. I'll post more on Wednesday but right now I''m trying to get some posts together for whilst I'm away and also some scheduled tweets so people can keep track too - you can follow me on twitter @georginacallen

My life has been a little dull recently if I'm honest, in the midst of dissertation writing I seem to just eat frozen fruit or alpen light bars (can not get enough of them) and take pictures of Oscar the dog ... and I always seem to find time to paint my nails. Today I'm trying to catch up with a bit of blogging and thought I'd post my recent instagram's as they sum up my life better than I could with words.
