NARS Laguna Illuminator

I've always wanted to get my hands on the HG bronzer that is NARS Laguna however I own like all of the bronzers and when going to treat myself I realised I really didn't need it. So I decided to pick up the Laguna shade in the NARS illuminators. It was £23 which for huge 30ml tube I think is more than reasonable for high end brand - you also need the smallest amount so it will last you. The illuminator range is a set of highlights that are full of shimmer to highlight directly onto the skin or mix in with foundation to give a more glowy bronzed finish. The product itself is awesome - it's a lovely consistency and has a gorgeous glow. I do wish I'd picked up a lighter shade though as on my fair skin laguna is a little hard to work with. Super orgasm and hot sand look just perfect and are top of my wishlist for next purchases. If you're looking for a gorgeous bronze illuminator then this is the one I can get away with it on the top of my cheek bones but I need to spend some time making sure it's blended light otherwise it doesn't give that natural bronzed glow I'm after. It would be perfect on bare skin that has a holiday tan too.

I can't wait to add a few more of these to my collection.

No 7 Instant Radiance Bronzing Highlighter

I adored the No 7 highlighter stick that they bought out in the spring time (I think). They are so easy to use and I've nearly finished mine - pretty unheard of for me. So when they bought out the bronzing version I jumped on it. It's only £10 and they often have those £3 off No 7 vouchers which makes it a bargain at £7. It's a super gorgeous warm gold highlighter - it's not as easy to use as the highlighter as it does take some work to not look overly gold and glittery. It gives a nicer glow without a heavy base I find so I'm really looking forward to getting it out next summer with just a tinted moisturiser to add a hint of glitzy glow to the skin. The sticks are great to take travelling or just throw in your handbag. I really want to try some of the pop and glow blush sticks too so I think they're so pretty so I'm sure they'll fall into my basket sometime soon.

Bourjois Bronzing Powder - Review

The Bourjois bronzing powder has been on the market for ages I've always looked at it as being a little gimmicky with it's chocolate shaped packaging but I needed a new bronzer and had heard good things about this so thought it was worth picking up. It cost £6.99 from Boots. I wanted a matte bronzer really so was a little concerned as you can see small specks of shimmer when it's in it's packaging however applied to the skin you can't tell that they're there at all. I think the shimmer might just help with the warm glow the product gives the skin. The packaging is cardboard with a magnetic strip ensuring it stays shut in your handbag. It has a gorgeous scent to it which isn't actually chocolate I think it's more vanilla than anything. 

I've used this product everyday since picking it up a few weeks ago - I've been applying it with my real techniques contour brush and then blending out with my real techniques powder brush. My favourite bit about this bronzer is that it has not a hint of orange in it and when applied and buffed out gives the nicest natural glow to the skin. I'm glad I finally picked this up as I can see this being in my collection for a long long time to come. 

W7 Double Act Bronzer/ Blusher

I picked up the double act bronzer and blusher from fragrance direct - it's no longer available there but it is on Amazon for £4.99. The W7 blushers and bronzers are noted as major benefit dupes. The packaging is identical and the shade range also matches up. Double Act is a dupe of Benefit 10 which retails for £23.50 so the W7 is an amazing bargain. I bought Benefit 10 a few years ago and I did love it and remember using it until there was literally nothing left in the small cardboard container. I can't say the W7 version is anywhere near as high quality as the benefit product. The colour in the W7 double act is much more brassy and full on than the softer tones of benefits. The blush and bronzer in this are very pigmented so you have to be careful when putting them on and ensure you blend thoroughly to avoid streaky cheeks. It's a brilliant product to play with however I'd never use it everyday as it takes a lot of effort to buff and blend out. The colours are nice a bright pink and a medium bronze with shimmer running throughout. For £5 you can't really complain but it's not something I'd pick up everyday.

VIVO Baked Bronze Sun Kiss

So I'm sure we're all fully aware of my literal obsession with the Vivo Baked Bronze in shade healthy glow. It's featured in many a favourites list and is worn on my skin everyday. It gives such a flawless finish to even the cheapest of foundations and I can't get enough of it. When I was in Tesco doing my weekly shop I thought why haven't I picked up either of the other two shades yet ... so of course I bought myself sun kiss. It's got darker veining running through it which lends itself to a much bronzer look. With a tan this is subtle enough to sweep all over your face but for now it's perfect on the apples of cheeks giving the perfect bronzing highlight to most looks. I love it of course and right now they are even on offer down from £5 to £3 online here and in most Tesco stores. I can't recommend this product enough it's my most used face product that is perfect for day or night. 

ELF Studio Golden Bronzer

ELF Studio Golden Bronzer £3.75

I really wanted to add a soft and not overly shimmer bronzer to my collection to give a little bit of a glow. I'm a lot less tanned these days so I needed something which said subtle rather than 'i just got off the beach' for my paler days. This seemed perfect - I love that you can blend the four shades together and just use the two lighter shades if you want. They aren't overly pigmented and it does take a lot of brush swishing to get a decent bit of bronze on your face but I guess this is a good thing. It's ever so subtle and is perfect to lift my cheek bones and give them a nice healthy glow. 

The bronzer comes in three different shade palettes. A warm bronzer that's full of shimmer, a cool bronzer that is a selection of matte bronzers and this golden bronzer which is a subtle shimmer to offer radiance. I really do think ELF is such brilliant value for money I got this £3.75 four shade bronzer with a half price voucher code so it was such a bargain. I highly recommend signing up for their newsletters as they always have really good coupons floating about. I think when the next one drops in my inbox I will definitely be picking up this in shade cool bronzer as I don't have a purely matte bronzer in my collection.

Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Shimmer Brick - Medium

Firstly huge apologies for posting used make-up. It's one of my pet hates but stick with me as I do have a legitimate reason. I've had this fake back bronze shimmer brick for so long and it's never really hit the spot for me. In practice it should have it has everything I want in a bronzer it has shimmer and a touch of highlighter all built in however sweeping this across my face I always looked a little patchy and not very well turned out to be honest. 

However after becoming a little obsessed with Kim Kardashian's face (yes I know) and the way it is contoured and highlighted I spent many hours browsing YouTube tutorials learning the art of contouring ones face. I obviously was then a little sad that I didn't have the perfect products to get going on this straight away - then I remembered the Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Shimmer brick. 

It is ideal for highlighting and contouring it's also a good summer buy in my opinion. I use the ELF bronzing brush  which is the perfect size to get a good sweep of the shades you want to apply. I then buff it out with a random large powder brush I seem to have acquired that is unbranded. It is similar to the Kabuki brush and I very much want the ELF version of this too. Basically blended in this palette offers shades that can take you through the year to highlight and contour your face. It is ideal for holiday's or handbags alike when you don't have room to pack your highlighter and bronzer separately. 

It costs £13.99 in boots which I think is really reasonable for the amount of things you can do with it. It is also available in light for fairer skins which holds more pinky tones.  All swished together it does too provide a fabulous bronzer for the days you have a tan - I definitely need the light version for the rest of the year. Has anyone else tried this product before? 

Vivo Baked Bronze - Healthy Glow

As I've mentioned lots of time before I am a massive Vivo fan. I have to say though this is easily my most loved product. It's actually one of my favourite products I have probably ever bought. I have been after a decent bronzer for ages. I find most of the ones I buy are either too dark, too pink or just too one colour that doesn't blend well. 

This immediately jumped out at my due to the slight shimmer to it and also the lightness of colour, I want for shade 'Healthy Glow' and it cost me £5. It also comes in two other shades - Sunkissed and Bronzed. I really can not praise it enough it leaves a gorgeous shimmery bronze to my face and leaves my complexion looking really glowing and sheer. I have nothing negative to say about this which is probably a first for me. It's a massive pot and brushes on perfectly with a massive bronzer brush. I think I will be repurchasing this a lot and also getting a deeper shade for the summer.
