Spreading A Little Christmas Cheer

This post is a little different and completly un-beauty related but still very much based in the Christmas spirit.

You may or not remember that in August myself and 7 others officially launched our charity 'The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation' (you can read my post on it here) Well we've been lucky enough to have been nominated as one of 8 Southampton based charities in the LeePeckGroups charity begins at home Christmas campaign.

I'm not asking you for a single penny just a second of your time to vote for us - by clicking 'The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation' and giving us your vote we will hopefully be in with a chance to win a cash prize for the charity and also some free PR from the Lee Peck Group. It's a prize we'd love to win - starting out just this year we'd love the help and support so please vote.

I'd be crazy grateful for your time in doing this and also if you could share and post the link http://www.leepeckgroup.com/christmas wherever you can to gain as much support as possible for 'The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation.'

We have so many exciting things planned for the new year and this would just be the perfect way to start 2013 - voting closes December 24th!
If you want to read more about our charity, Hannah's story and to keep up to date with everything we have planned please do go and visit www.thcf.org.uk

All my love, Georgina x

THCF is Officially Launching

It's been a long time coming but today is the official launch of The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation. Since Hannah died in November 2009 we have strived continuously to fund-raise for cancer charities - The Bone Cancer Research Trust in particular - in the ways she would have loved and done herself.

For the last 6 months we have been surrounded by all things yellow and worked so hard to bring together the launch of The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity by both massive companies and individuals from our local town. I wanted to share these photo's in a post today to show some of the Trustee's gluing, tying ribbon and preparing for tonight. Everything we've created for tonight has been done between us and I am so proud of the THCF team.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank the most generous of companies in helping us secure one of the most amazing raffles and auctions I have personally ever seen in my whole life:

Barry M Cosmetics
Umberto Giannini Hair Products
Bottle Green Drinks
TGI Friday's
B&Q
London Zoo
True Utility
Travis Perkins
Glossybox UK
Lipsy London
White Hart Lane Football Stadium

I am crazily excited tonight to share Hannah's Story and to get everyone involved in the future of The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation. The event is a complete sell out and I can't wait for everyone to be greeted by bucks fizz in a room full of yellow and share some Bacardi shots into the early hours of the morning - exactly how Miss Hannah would have wanted it.

The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation

I wanted to get a little more on-line stuff in place before I shared this little venture with you all. The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation has been put together by myself three friends and four of Hannah's family members and is launching this year. I am so excited about it, it's been on the back burn for the last 18 months or so and we've finally got our logo all ready and our website is coming together as well.

In memory of our best friend Hannah we will be working to raise lots of money that will be used as small grants for young people in the Southampton area with cancer. The grants are intended to give a little relief to patients and their families weather that be technology, wigs or days out we're hoping to raise as much as we can to help as many people as we can.

However before we get around to giving bit we need to raise lots of pennies so we've organised a launch event on Sunday 26th August, (more information on it is available here) - we held an event a few years ago in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust and it was the most amazing night ever and we're so excited to hold this one too.

As well as ticket sales we raise money by hosting a raffle and auction on the night and right now I'm looking for lots of prizes, vouchers and things to get lots of raffle tickets sold. If anyone can help in any way whatsoever with this please get in touch with me - literally anything would be appreciated!

In the mean time I'd really appreciate it if you could follow us all over the internet

Our website address is: www.thcf.org.uk
Our twitter is: @THCF_
And our Facebook page is: The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation

I know this post isn't my usual beauty bits but its something that absolutely means the world to me and I want to give it as much promotion as possible. We're launching this year and we want to make it a year to remember getting The Hannah Chamberlain Foundation on the map. Please check out our website it has a little more information and we're updating it all the time too!

If you can help in anyway please get in touch!!!
