Charles Worthington Texturising Spray - Review

*please excuse the awful setting of this photo I was in such an excited rush I forgot that not only the product was in shot!

I'm sure we've all heard so many people rave about the Oribe Texturising spray but at £38 but in all honestyl unless I win the lottery it is never going to be in my collection. Anyways when I read 'the battle of the texturising sprays' by Anna with her recommendation that this was the best budget buy I had to get my hands on it. It comes in at £6.99 and is often on 3 for 2 (like right now) it's a good buy but a little more expensive than the vo5 texturising spray I love.

I found it very different from all of the texturising sprays I've tried it dispenses in the same way but is a lot more hairspray than dry shampoo. It's less tacky than hair spray but doesn't have the chalky texture of dry shampoo. I do really like this product for completely different reasons to the vo5 spray. This is perfect for adding texture to styled hair and for slightly setting a style without getting the crunch of hairspray. I don't find it's as good for just adding texture to my natural hair style. It's good to spritz over loose curls or waves to add a little more oomph to the style.

I can definitely see myself buying this again - this and the vo5 spray together meet all of my texturising needs.

Charles Worthington Shine Gloss Spray

I have literally had this pretty little bottle in my hair stash for month and have only recently got round to using it. I think my obsessions with hair oils have kind of taken over my hair care routine and not left much room for anything else really. However when having a massive storage overhaul after my birthday (huge post to come) I thought it was definitely time to try it out. As a massive fan of literally every single thing I have bought from the Charles Worthington range I had high expectations.

Most shine sprays I've used have dispensed via a hair spray like aerosol bottle - this one is very difference and dispenses like heat protection or most leave in conditioners. It's clear and glides evenly over the hair. I really enjoy using it over the ends of my hair - it is in no way greasy but for some reason I never like putting product on my roots unless it is seriously matte. It's a lovely addition to dry hair and I should really try and get a lot more use of it than I do.

I am continuously reaching for hair oils morning and night at the moment so this product only really gets used over hair on nights out a touch up throughout the day maybe. Even though I don't use all that much it is one of the best shine sprays I have tried. I love that you can see the contents, and that it isn't a hairspray mist so you can direct where you want it a little more accurately. It's available in Boots for £5.19 here and I do think if you are after a shine spray this is definitely one worth trying.

Charles Worthington Sunshine Leave-In UV Hair Spray

I originally wanted the Mark Hill Cover Up Spray but couldn't get my hands on it anywhere and the Charles Worthington UV Sunshine spray just jumped out at me. I absolutely love the packaging. In a bright yellow bottle with bright pink lid it just screams holiday. It's available here from the Charles Worthington store for £5.19 or in Boots it was on a three items for £10 offer.

I really wanted an SPF in a hair product for holiday as I didn't want my scalp to burn as it so often does. Because of this I wasn't really expecting that much from this UV protector as I kind of figured my hair would end up quite damaged regardless from holiday following much pool and sea water as well as lots and lots of sun. However I applied this product generously throughout each day in the sun and my hair has come back feeling as good as it did when I went out.

I didn't really change any of my hair routine during the holiday and used the same shampoo and conditioner and I have very little if not any damage to my hair. I highly recommend this product - I normally come back in strict need of hair masks and treatments to rid any sun or sea damage but this time I haven't felt like I've needed it at all. I will be including this in all future holiday packing and I hope it stays within the Charles Worthington range for many summers to come.
