Christmas Obsessions: Nails

Glitter: Models Own Pink Fizz, Models Own Silver Fox, Deborah Lippman & Gold Glitter Nail Art Pen

Nude: Base Barry M Gelly in Lychee, Nails Ink Uptown Glamour, Models Own Champagne, Stripe and dots with bronze from nail art pen kit

Red: Base - Nails Inc Victoria & Albert, all designs done with nail art pens (eBay)

White: Base George for Asda Manicure in Natural White all glitters mentioned above or from nail art pen kit

Painting my nails is one of my favorite things to do - painting them at Christmas time is even better. You can adorn your nails with copious amounts of glitter and it's completely acceptable even on the mot mundane of office days when  December always seems fun because your nails are covered in sparkles. I loved playing around with polishes for this Christmas nail wheel and I'm so happy that advent has started so bright red nails covered in glitter has become completely acceptable. If you've done any Christmas nail art posts please pop the link in my comments I'd love more inspiration :)

Graduated Glitter Christmas Nails

I've been testing out Christmas nails for the last few weeks - some failed miserably (nail transfers I'm talking to you) some annoyed (nail wraps) and some were just more effort than they were worth (miniature Christmas stickers.) I've plumped with this graduated glitter look for the big day this year as it will go with whatever I chose to wear - obviously something red, gold or black and having such heavy glitter on the tips gives the look real durability and means I won't be chipped by boxing day. I used the same graduated glitter method I mentioned here and I used Models Own Gold Digger, Nails Inc Victoria and Albert and these eBay nail art pens

Christmas Nails, Strike One.

I've been trying to wait until nearer Christmas to use my Santa nail wraps, but I just couldn't wait any longer. So as a compromise to myself I decided to just use one for my ring finger. And actually much prefer just one or a few maybe as lots of little santa heads might be a bit much!

Barry M -Rasberry
Nails Inc - Victoria and Albert
Nail Art Pen - Red Glitter
Nail Wraps - Santa Claus

I went a bit crazy and did alternate red nails with my ring finger in the Santa nail wrap. I think for Christmas I might keep Santa on my ring finger and red glitter on all my other nails as I'm a little bit obsessed with glitter at the moment. May even through in some red diamanté! I'm glad I tested the nail wraps out actually as I need to  grow my nails to fit Santa's hat on :)

Girls Only: Todays Nails

Todays nails:
Models Own - Pastel Pink
Barry M - Bright Pink
Maybelline - Forever Strong Top Coat
Nail Art Pen - Pink Glitter
Nail Art Pen - White

Today's nails are probably the the girliest nails I could have put together. I used Model's own pastel pink colour on all my nails except my ring finger. Two coats of this and you end up with most delicious shade of pastel pink. I then painted my ring finger in Barry M bright pink - which is a pretty garish shade of pink but is deliciously bright if you're feeling very pink.
I then painted the tips of all my nails in white with a line of pink glitter underneath. Once completely dry I applied a coat of maybelline forever strong to seal it all on.

They couldn't get more girly or pink but I'm just in that mood today :)

Basil Street Nails Inc.

My name's Georgina and I am addicted to Nail Varnish.

There I said it ... I am a full on nail varnish, nail art, nail wrap addict.
I have well over 50 colours in my current collection with more being added nearly on a weekly basis.
My favourite brands when on a budget are Barry M and Models Own, however if I want to spend a little extra I will always buy Nails Inc.

In my December subscription of Glamour magazine a free full sizes Nails Inc nail varnish was included. I never usually get excited about these things as find the colours in freebies are always pretty unwearable. However this month's included maybe my favourite nail colour of all time - Nails Inc Basil Street.

I've been using it for the last few weeks and it is the perfect day time nail colour. Nails Inc. are known for the amazing quality of their polishes and of course this doesn't change with this edition. I've got alot of nude shades but have never found one as spot on as this.

It is available from the Nails Inc. website

It's pretty hard not to want every single colour on their site, their Heathrow matte finish is definately next on my Christmas list.
