Milk_Shake Daily Frequent Shampoo - £10.25 Beauty Bay

I'd never normally pick up a shampoo for such a high price however I fell a little in love with Milk_Shake as a brand and their delicious scents after trying their whipped cream leave in conditioner a long while ago. I was obviously feeling a little flush as I'm more of what evers £2 in tesco kind of girl when it comes to shampoo. This was a gorgeous little treat though it has a fresh apple scent and is paraben free leaving hair squeaky clean. If you're all about a sleek looking bathroom down to your products then this range is so perfect - I think the branding and packaging is on point. Sleek white bottles with simple text is so up my street and represents the brand perfectly. I personally think the scent of this was too nice for a shampoo and it seemed a shame to through on styling products and conditioners after it as the treat was covered with other things. I think their range is much better suited to the final styling products so you can smell them for much longer I have my eye on their hair repairing treatment, glistening serum, & leave in conditioner. 

Have you tried anything from Milk_Shake that's a must have? 

John Frieda Frizz Ease - Consistent Curls Range

 

I've been using the John Freida consistent curls range for nearly 2 weeks now so thought it was about time I shared my thoughts. The range consists of 4 products - a shampoo and conditioner, a heat activated spray and a hair oil. Like all John Frieda products they small amazing - that gorgeous salon hair smell that I can't get enough of is true of all 4 products in the range. The shampoo and conditioner are really nourishing and keep hair soft with a slight shine once dry. 

The heat activated spray is probably my least favourite of the four. It needs to be sprayed onto wet hair quite generously but I can't really tell what it does particularly. I used the same routine with and without this spray and couldn't really tell any difference between using and not using this spray. It doesn't make the hair any tackier or easier to manage and I don't really find my hair to hold it's curls anymore. I can't say I hate it it's just that I'm not really sure what it brings to the table. 

The hair oil in this range is my hands down favourite though. It's the perfect styling oil, I've found using it on wet or dry hair leaves the glossiest finish and  makes my hair so manageable. It's a clear oil (the bottle is coloured) and is a dream to use. As you can see from the before and after photo's my hair is much glossier and sleeker which I think I can owe mostly to the hair oil. It also leaves no oil residue in the hair so styling is an absolute dream. 

Batiste Cherry Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is an everyday staple in my hair routine not only reviving hair between washes but also to just add some texture to my hair that's gotten ever so long. I've tried most own brand dry shampoo's and some competitors and none really hit the mark like Batiste does. I have no fear of white roots with Batiste which is why I've always got a bottle in my cabinet. I normally stick to the original or tropical but fancied a change when stocking up so went for cherry mainly because the bottle is ever so pretty. This reminds me a little of the cherry's that 'my baby all gone' used to eat off the never ending spoon when I was little. It's ever so sweet but I do like that the scent on these doesn't really linger around so it's just a nice burst when applying it first thing on a dreary November morning. 

Superdrug - Dry Shampoo

I've always grabbed Batiste every time I've needed dry shampoo not really for any other reason than it's often the only branded dry shampoo on the shelf. However I've noticed it's creeping up in price a tiny bit and I thought it was time to check out some alternatives. I picked these Superdrug dry shampoo's up with an offer of buy one get two free (the third is at my boyfriends) so it was bargainous and looking at their website they seem to have an offer on these pretty consistently so they were very very cheap. 

The scents on all the range were nice - nothing offensive amongst them. I do like the scent of Heart on Your Sleeve the most it's a kind of romantic yet fresh scent that is lovely to spritz all over your roots. So how do they stand up - the only thing between these and Batiste is that these are a lot more talcum powder than spray and you have to spritz them quite far away from our head and give it a good ruffle to not end up with a white scalp. But despite this they do work and I'm willing to give my hair more a ruffle to save some serious pennies. I'm reaching for dry shampoo more recently to just add texture to my hair so I'm getting through it a fair bit. I like to always have a back up in my drawer and when they're this cheap I can leave them everywhere :) 

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner

The new Tresemme Keratin Smooth range is right up my street. I am still trying to undo the mess I made to my hair from bleach, dye and a whole host of horrible products. Infused with Keratin each product aims to leave the hair sleek and manageable which is ideal for the way my hair is at the moment. I've always really loved Tresemme as a brand and when opening up these products I also realised I love Tresemme because I love the scent of their products. I don't really like a lot of the advertising campaigns showing women who think they've been to a salon but the products do genuinely smell like the hairdressers and I think this leaves you feeling like your hair has been treated more than with most products. 

I often find shampoo and conditioners hard to review because there is little different between them and if I'm honest I'll just buy what ever is on offer. However I did really enjoy using these two products. After leaving my hair to dry naturally the scent of the conditioner still lingers on my hair which I love it's also left my very frizzy ends looking noticeably smoother and on the whole my hair feels really soft and manageable. I have a few more products from the range that I'm going to give a go after the success of the shampoo and conditioner - I think the hair treatment mask has the possibility to really help my hair considering how lovely the shampoo and conditioner have left it so I'm really looking forward to using that now and I'll let you know how I get on soon.

Loreal - EverPure No Sulphate Colour Care

I signed up to the Loreal Insider  portal a few months ago because I do love Loreal products and I also love a good competition. I regularly sign up for their samples and any different things they have going on. It's also a cool way to view their entire product range and any new things they have coming out. 

I was very excited when these full size samples landed through my door as I've had my eye on them for a little while. They are no sulphate shampoo and conditioners, I recieved the colour care as that's what matches my online profile and is also what I'd pick up in store.

I'm not particularly brand loyal when it comes to shampoo or conditioner I literally buy what ever one is on offer and often in a pink bottle if I'm honest. I really like this set though its left my hair feeling incredibly clean and super soft - especially after all of its recent bleaching action. I also love the smell of this its a really refreshing mint that is just gorgeous. I know as its a new product its on offer in most stores at the moment I've seen it in supermarkets for 2 for £7 and in Boots its on 3 for 2 also. 

If your hair is coloured and a little dry then I highly recommend these products - they are a little on the pricey side in my opinion but that's probably more because I just buy discounted hair care. I try not to buy the same shampoo's twice in a row but I will definitely go back to these - they just smell so good!
