Stila One Step Correct.

I've had my eye on this product for ages but been a bit unsure especially as it has a £24 price tag. However one of my Christmas presents was returned so I purchased this in exchange.

I bought it from feelunique.com the link is here. I love feel unique as they have a mass of goodies and it's all free delivery so you can just get one cheaper item on its own rather than having to wait to buy lots and qualify for delivery. One think I will say though is I ordered this product and another smaller concealer (post soon) and they came in separate packages. Seemed a little jiffy bag extreme - maybe they are held in different warehouses but it did still seem like overkill to have too bags for the smallest of orders.

Anyways back onto the Stila One Step Correct - I've read lots of good things about it so was really excited for it to arrive. It came this morning and I couldn't resist taking an essay break to try it out.

It says this on the box:
Swirl your way to perfect skin in one step! This innovative, triple-swirled helix serum instantly colour corrects, brightens and covers skin imperfections for a flawless face with no fuss.

Stila One Step Correct is a primer, colour corrector, brightener and anti-ageing skincare serum that does it all with the help of Stila's Youth Revival Bio-Available Mineral Complex™:

- Magician: Instantly makes imperfections disappear.
- Multitasker: Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, pores and pigmentation.
- Miracle Worker: Hydrates, controls oil and improves skin texture.

Stila One Step Correct contains 3 colour-correcting brighteners:

- Green tone instantly neutralises redness and conceals blemishes.
- Lavender tone counteracts sallow undertones for a vibrant, energised look.
- Peach tone brightens, illuminates and helps diminish the appearance of sun spots.

The weightless, creamy formula blends imperceptibly into skin and won't clog pores or settle into fine lines... so all anyone will notice is your perfectly flawless skin!

apologies for the burn mark on my hand  - Christmas dinner injury and I just couldn't take pictures on my other hand!

I was originally drawn to it because I think it looks gorgeous (sucker for packaging and design). I think some of it's claims are bit OTT however it's a really clever idea. I've used a green stick for blemishes before and for a primer this ticks all the boxes. It evens out small imperfections and goes on really smoothly. It does lighten down any larger imperfections but definitely doesn't blend out the colour from really red area's or breakouts.

It leaves a kind of grey tone to the face but foundation goes on really well afterwards. I did think it was a little overpriced however saying that some of the individual colour primers by loreal are £11 a colour so really £24 for all three colours in one is good and then you've covered all bases.

It's made me really want to try the Stila bronzer now which uses a similar idea and has three tones going through it.
